A Very Late Collage

I don't remember all the requirements or even if these can still be graded, but here is a collage composed of scans by my classmates and myself (with the Slender-man thrown in for good measure).

Onward to more projects... and homework.

Correcting Photos

So I didn't wake up in time for the start of class today, let's try to make up for the lost time. We're correcting photos that look bad in some way.

A very bad backlit image

 Finished correction

Since we haven't seen how to correct blurry photos, I had to find another picture. Thankfully, This one is nice, too.

A dull-colored sunset

 A prettier correction

Ten JPEG Scans

Starting with a bit of my childhood, Calvin and Hobbes.

The book I am currently reading, The Black Powder War.

I like the Tarot so here are couple of notorious cards of the Major Arcana

 Upside down, whoops...

Some LOLcats for the road.

The Lei from Orientation. My favorite scan.

And now I need to go. (sign: Emergency Exit)

8-bit Pixel Art

My first attempt at pixel art animation. The inspiration is the original Metroid game, the heroine, Samus Aran is shooting a Metroid here.

Metroid and all of it's characters are copyright of Nintendo, but you knew that already.

Artist: John Whitney (1917-1996)

I was really taken when I saw this piece because all these seemingly complex effects were made by one person and a big 12-foot re-purposed army computer in 1961 long before modern programs. The colors and patterns were captivating and reminiscent of hallucination scenes in movies.
